MatSimKit-HT V2.2.0 Released

MatSimKit-HT V2.2.0 is now available. This release focuses on extending property calculation capabilities for Ni-based superalloys. In addition to the existing solidification calculation workflow, it introduces temperature-dependent phase diagrams, room-temperature strength and hardness, and high-temperature strength calculations.

V2.2.0 also upgrades the solver architecture by separating the underlying material calculation capability into an independent solver component. The desktop application now calls the solver through a unified calculation contract, creating a cleaner separation between user interaction and calculation implementation.

New Capabilities

Temperature-Dependent Phase Diagrams for Ni-Based Superalloys

The new phase diagram calculation outputs continuous phase-fraction curves over temperature, helping users understand phase evolution from high temperature to room temperature.

  • Covers the configured temperature range and automatically identifies phases appearing in the system
  • Outputs key transformation features such as the γ′ solvus temperature
  • Shows the actually covered temperature range when calculation convergence ends early
  • Supports γ′ precipitate size and related parameters as high-throughput variables

Room-Temperature Strength and Hardness

The new room-temperature mechanical property calculation provides yield strength, tensile strength, and hardness for the target composition in a single calculation.

  • Results are written directly to the overview table for comparison across high-throughput composition sets
  • The calculation path considers matrix phase, matrix grain size, γ′ precipitate size, and heat treatment temperature

High-Temperature Strength

The new high-temperature yield strength calculation outputs yield strength curves as a function of temperature.

  • Supports extracting yield strength at a specified temperature directly into the overview table
  • Shares Ni-based mechanical parameter settings with phase diagram and room-temperature strength calculations

Improvements

This release also improves result presentation, parameter setup, and runtime stability.

  • Result tabs and overview metrics now adapt to the selected calculation items
  • The phase diagram result page adds a phase-fraction vs. temperature curve view with zoom, box selection, reset, and hover value reading
  • The knowledge-base curve viewer can review newly added curve types such as phase diagrams
  • Ni-based superalloy calculation items can be selected freely and submitted together as needed
  • Grain size units, including ASTM and μm, are now available for Ni-based superalloy calculations
  • Calculation subprocess output encoding, task output isolation, and cleanup of calculation directories older than 24 hours have been optimized

Architecture Upgrade

A major change in V2.2.0 is solver independence. MatSimKit-HT extracts its internal material calculation capability into a standalone solver component. Local operation and development integration now share the same solver interface and calculation contract, improving consistency and reducing future maintenance and validation effort.

Compatibility and Requirements

This upgrade does not affect existing knowledge-base data or saved material configurations. Historical calculation records remain available. The newly added Ni-based superalloy calculation items depend on the solver component shipped with the installer and a valid JMatPro calculation engine license.

System requirements: Windows 10+ 64-bit, 4 GB memory or above, 500 MB installation space, and a configured JMatPro license.
