About ZhongFang

ZhongFang is a leading Chinese provider of simulation analysis software and system solutions. Committed to independent R&D, the company holds proprietary intellectual property in its ZhongFang CAE product line, while maintaining long-term and close collaboration with top numerical simulation research institutions and enterprises both domestically and internationally — dedicated to delivering world-class simulation technology solutions to Chinese enterprises and research organizations.
The MatSimKit software series, developed in-house, is deeply focused on the metal materials domain. Built around JMatPro — an internationally renowned thermodynamic calculation software — it delivers an end-to-end solution spanning high-throughput material property calculation, data management and analysis, and AI-assisted design, with broad applications across casting, heat treatment, hot working, welding, and additive manufacturing.
ZhongFang remains driven by innovation, building a comprehensive service system on the foundation of deep technical expertise. Guided by the philosophy of "making material calculation serve real manufacturing," ZhongFang will continue to advance in the field of material simulation and industrial software, driving the engineering adoption of material calculation technology.
Our Journey
ZhongFang founded, focusing on simulation analysis software R&D and system solution services, beginning to accumulate core technical capabilities in material simulation.
Became the sole partner of JMatPro software in China, responsible for its market promotion, technical support, and customized development in the Chinese market.
The Central Iron & Steel Research Institute integrated JMatPro into its superalloy R&D platform, and the University of Science and Technology Beijing adopted it for materials science research — bringing JMatPro into national research institutes and key universities.
JMatPro's application extended from steel into non-ferrous metals: Central South University used it for light alloy research, and the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences applied it to fundamental thermodynamics and phase transformation research in metallic materials.
The Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials adopted JMatPro for aviation material design and process calculations, bringing the software into China's national aeronautical materials R&D system.
General Motors China adopted JMatPro for lightweight automotive materials development, marking the software's first large-scale application in China's automotive industry.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Dongfang Turbine both adopted JMatPro. SJTU applied it to materials design and process simulation research; Dongfang Turbine used it for superalloy blade material design and continued expanding its use over subsequent years.
Academician Wang Chongyu's team at Tsinghua University adopted JMatPro, integrating it with first-principles computation for high-throughput materials research. The team used it to systematically explore composition–structure–property relationships across multi-component alloy spaces, advancing the integration of computational materials science with engineering applications.
MatSimKit software series development begins. In the same year, the first version of MatSimKit-HT is released in response to real enterprise needs, enabling R&D teams to rapidly obtain comprehensive material property data across broad composition spaces and significantly shorten alloy development cycles.
Ansteel Group and Shougang Group adopted JMatPro for composition design and process optimization of advanced steel grades. Together with Baosteel Group's continued module expansion, several of China's major steel producers completed their deployments during this period.
Building on a steel production workflow integration platform project with Baosteel Group, MatSimKit-Flow and MatSimKit-DM were successively released, establishing a complete pipeline from material calculation service integration to data management.
A leading domestic new-energy vehicle manufacturer adopted JMatPro for thermophysical calculation and R&D support in battery materials and lightweight structural materials, extending the software's reach into the new-energy automotive industry.
A leading domestic technology company in the consumer electronics and communications sector adopted JMatPro for thermophysical calculation and materials R&D support, extending the software's application into the high-tech industry.
MatSimKit-Design released, deeply integrating large language models with professional material calculation to open a new era of AI-assisted material design. In the same year, MatSimKit-HT is fully rebuilt in response to customer needs, with V2 launched.
Comprehensive upgrades across the full product line, with V2.1 releases for all products. The MatSimKit software ecosystem is consolidated into a complete four-in-one material simulation solution covering high-throughput calculation, data management, AI-assisted design, and workflow integration.
